Rear suspension problems
i just bought a 94 850 turbo from auction. I had to drive it home due to the rear tire being blown out. The rear passenger side tire actually sits inward a bit and that is how the tire blew out. I’m wondering if someone may have an idea as to what component(s) could be causing this issue and if it is repairable. https://imageshack.us/i/pmtBpUalj https://imageshack.us/i/poPvpNchj https://imageshack.us/i/pnpdR5lJj https://imageshack.us/i/po7p274ij https://imageshack.us/i/pmmbp7ryj |
Check the rear delta link bushings - for the bushing directly in front of the tire, make sure the bolt to the chassis isn't rusted out.

That doesn't look good. When you get under there, it's mostly obvious where everything should be. The axle is in two pieces which are anchored to each other. Each piece has a trailing arm built into it near the wheel, and that's where this bushing is. The junkyards are full of them, so if you decide it's bent real bad, just find a whole axle at the pull-a-part. Just 4 bolts hold it in, and two of those are on the end of the shocks.

So basically if I replace the rear axle that should take care of my problem? Update: here is a pic of the rear axle. Looks bent to me but I’m not sure if it’s supposed to look like that https://imageshack.us/i/pmtBpUalj |
It looks bent.

That is not supposed to look like that. You could replace half the axle, but I think the whole axle will be a lot easier. Like I said, 4 bolts and it just falls off. Disentangling the brakes will be more trouble that the actual axle.
