Rustless in Seattle
This weekend I took my car home to my parents house to do a little fixing up, I had poor roof rails, two bad struts, I felt like I wanted to something to cosmetically enhance the car, and worst of all, a super duper rusty trunk lid(see picture)
And worst of all...
So I decided to take action, I sanded everything down real nice and smooth like and then applied an anti-rust/rust stopping primer
Applied two thin sheets of tin over the worst parts of the rust on the underside of the trunk.
After that, with everything taped off, BONDO TIME!
Sanded that down nice and smooth and then applied another coat of the anti-rust primer

...While waiting for that I tinted my turn signals as well as the rear turn signal/back up light.
Then wet sanded the coat of primer for a nice smooth finish, applied about four coats of Import Black paint from Autozone. Wet sanded that, and then applied about four coats of clear top coat. And for the finished product was extremely pleased as this was my first time ever doing body work...

Yeah, it got pretty bad, I don't know how it happened. Obviously I wasn't the one taking care of it at the time. Haha.
IPD. It's in the stickers/emblems section but it only shows up if you do an "emblem" search, otherwise, just by navigating your way to the sticker section it won't show up.

Haha, I'm not in Seattle. I was just copying sleepless in Seattle.
And yes, the ties are temporary. When I took off the plates to tape it all off the bolts broke off and I didn't want to try to remove a completely rusted over license plate bracket with semi-wet paint right below it, once it fully dries I'll take care of that.
