Shift lock -- Power source?

My shift lock isn't releasing when I step on the brake. I thought it was the micro switch or the solenoid, but I tested the assembly and it's working fine. I'm getting no power to it though.

Where does the shift lock get its signal from? I would have guessed it's one of the two switches on the brake pedal, but I checked them and they're working as well. Checked the fuse too, obviously. Does the shift lock get power from somewhere else, or should I be looking for a broken wire somewhere between the brake pedal and the shifter?

Thanks

I'm not sure how those things are together on the 850, but this is what I did with my 960. http://atthetipwebs.com/technologyin...ock_repair.htm

Same problem with our 96 850. Caught a thread saying the ignition lock cylinder could be the culprit for another problem I had(it wasn't) however, I tried jangling the key in the cylinder and found that the key should rotate ever so slightly counter clock wise when engine starts. Mine did not; however, if I backed the key slightly after car was started, the solinoid disengaged the shift lock and shifting was normal. Apparently this sligth counter rotation of the key is necessary for electic contact in it close.
