Side View mirror erratic
 

I have 94 850. The drivers side view mirror is erratic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The vertical movement is the most affected. I should note that I drive my car to work with a coffee mug that sometimes spills on the center console.

Is is easy to remaove the switches from the center console to clean the contacts for the swicthes?

The switches are somewhat easy to get out. You have to remove the center console to get to them.

BUT they are pretty much a sealed unit.
