speedo signal faulty?
 

I got an 1995 850 non turbo.... I ran the codes on it, starting from plug 1 to 3... well number 2 gave me a 3-1-1 code... look up on the code chart and its indicating that the speedo signal is missing, is that why my speedometer works whenever....n what can I do to fix that problem? plz help....I also got a 3-2-2 code from the 1st socket that I have no clue what it means......also in those codes was an ignition system fault signal... dont know what that means either.....

There is a speedo sensor on the back part of the transmission near the firewall. You can see it from under the car by the engine mount, the wire clips to the mount and is a red plug, at least mine it. It reads a notched ring on the differential. Another common problem is the speedo gear for the speedometer is broken but I dont think this would throw a code.

okay... I guess I was reading codes wrong....in the A-1 socket.. which is tranny diagnostics... I got 5 codes...232(speedo signal missing), 1-2-3(solenoid sth short circuit to batt. voltage), 3-2-2(incorrect gear ratio), 1-3-1(solenoid sth open/short circuit or cont.mod. fault), 2-2-3(trottle position sensor too low)...in the A-2 socket I got 1 code...3-1-1 (nss signal)...thats my fuel system and I dont have a clue what it means.... B-2 gave me 1-2-2(no speed signal) where should I start? whats priority at this point...? plz help....
