Sulpher like smell coming from engine
Hi all! I have noticed in the last week a sulpher type smell coming from my engine. Especially if I have been driving for awhile and then slow down to turn a corner. Today it was even on stop and go driving. I just added 2 weeks ago the ATF to my powersteering unit and just wondering if in fact my unit has a leak and that is what I'm smelling?
I don't want to wait too long and then have something go very wrong with my car. I did check under the hood after turning the corner but could not smell anything or see anything unusal! Any help would be appreciated :) |
erm... I hope by ATF your talking about a company... if not Auto Transmission Fluid doesnt go into powerstearing at all ><! Only other thing outside of this is maybe low oil level and its burning whateva is left in your engine.

Our cars don't take ATF in the power steering. You should drain the PS and refill it with the correct fluid.
If that does not clear up the smell, then I would look for other leaks. Could even be your CAT. |
You fellas might want to check the oil/fluids section of your owners manual. For convenience it is on the rear cover of most of the manuals.
