I have a 1994850 where the sunroof shade is not operating.

The shadewill not slide back more than 1 inch when the sunroof is closed or in the vent position.

The shadewill slide back when the sunroof is opened anddoes notslide forward when the roof is open.

The sunroof also willnot open in the vent position more than about 1/2 inch.

I have seen the posts related to the removal of a sunroof to service the shade but I can't get the roof to open in the vent position far enough to reach inside and I can't slide the shade back to get to the screws on the sunroof track from the inside.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

That is a tough one there.
You might end up having to break something to get in there to look at things.

 

Try removing the sunroof glass for visual inspection of the mechanism. But as Tech has noted, you may have to force the roof open in the tilt position.
