Default T5 wont exceed 5500rpm

Hello not been a Volvo owners for a few years.
Just purchased a 850 T5 auto estate. I had issue with turbo hoses and spluttering under load. Ive managed to connect the hoses up correctly and now she revs to 5500rpm under load. How ever come 5500 shes seems to be bouncing off the limiter So vacuum hoses are all in place and good No other issues apparent. New air filter fitted. I think of cleaning the plugs rotor and cap tomorrow night and checking leads for arching. but I don't think this will fix it. I've considered it could be ECU engine safety???. I'm not sure that its lack of fuel as its bouncing not spluttering.
Input would be great please Thanks

Stage 0 means you should do a complete service to the car with oil, plugs and so on. There is a sticky here I think about it.

Have a look at this here https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...s-s-v70s-9266/

Been investigation and found how to get and clear fault code/clear light.

codes found
2-3-2 Speedo signal missing (could be caused by my intermitant ABS LIGHT)
1-2-1 S1 solinoid In transmissition housing (this could be why my shifting is low)
4-1-4 boost presure regulator (unplugged)
5-3-5 tc control valve signal. (This was unplugged when I removed from car)

will drive tomorrow and see what codes come up if any. hopefully not though.

Are you saying that the turbo control valve and boost presure regulator are not connected??
Then how come you wonder the car will not go higher then 5000 rpm?!

The ECU notices that you have way too much boost (due to the missing regulation) and cuts the fuel. End of the story.

Connect the parts as you will damage the engine in the long run.

A2 1-2-1 S1 solenoid is shorted to ground. This prevents the transmission to engage the low gears. The car goes to limp mode and starts in the 3rd gear. Probable fault is either a faulty solenoid or the cable harness is shot.

Thats It Ive just bought car as soon as I found pipes not connected I found diagram and connected but they where brittle and loose so replaced and clamped to make sure. Car seems to go up through gears ok and pulls away lightly. see if any codes pop up today to and from work. going to take it easy going there.
