Got this happening as of yesterday. Car seems to run fine, goes in Reverse etc. Not sure if the reverse lights work that is common when the PnP switch is going or gone.

Checked the code and came up for the tranny as 322 which means "Wrong Gear Value" whatever that means.. so my question is that I probably need a new PnP switch ASAP right?

I am going to make the appointment tomorrow just looking for some input maybe.

Fluid level checks out also.

 

Clear it and see how fast it comes back.

It sounds like the PnP switch, but as Tech said, clear the codes and see if it comes back

 

I reset the code and the lights went out and haven't come back yet. I did the shifter cleaning thing where you move it from P - L 10-15 times just for kicks.

I am having the same problem. Code 322 on A1 on my 1995 850 GLT. It does not want to clear the code though. When I hold the button down for 5-6 seconds, the code does not clear. Although the upshift arrow light and mode select lights stopped blinking and the car seems to run normally now. The only indication that something is not right is the check engine light is on.
