Default Trouble Code 143

My 95 850 turbo Wagon is tumbling but not starting and I got the 143 trouble code.Would a bad knock sensor prevent starting?

I think with a bad knock sensor the computer would just go to a more basic set of instructions to run the engine a little richer in fuel and retarded in timing but not so much as to keep it from running.

Have you checked to see if you have spark coming from the coil and also at the end of the spark plug wires ??
Next would be to check to see if you have the proper fuel pressure. Or at least listen for the fuel pump to turn on when you first go to turn the key to start it.

I'm all for being helpful but you could at least look up the codes and post what they are.
You might even take it a step further and search the codes to find out what they indicate and what steps need to be taken to resolve them and then ask questions about the parts of the information you have found you don't understand.

It would help you get used to searching for answers and it would give you a better knowledge base about your car and the issue you are having. There isn't much that can go wrong that hasn't been answered before and is out "there" waiting for someone to find it.
Just posting a number and saying help doesn't give us much to work with. Before I start trying to explain something to you I'd like to see you are at least trying to help yourself.

Try this one to find out the meaning of the codes.

Code 1-4-3 is front knock sensor signal intermittent.

I get this code every few days, even more often when it is wet. I have changed the sensor pair, still getting the code, so next step is to trace the wiring for it back to the ECU. I think I may have a pinched or damaged wire, or some corrosion in the wiring somewhere.

@kiss4afrog I understand what you are saying. However, when I posted the error codes only I was severely dehydrated as I was sick in bed with food poisoning. If you read my original post you would notice that I not only posted the code bug I also asked if a bad knock sensor would prevent starting. All I am saying is that we must not be so quick to jump to conclusions. I am still very weak but getting better
