Turbo Issues

I am hoping that someone can either confirm or debunk my suspicions about an issue I am having with my brick.

I am working on a '96 850 Turbo, and have noticed a lot of water coming out of the exhaust lately as well as the coolant recovery tank blowing up like a balloon with the cap on. If I take the cap off there is a lot of bubbling going on, and it increases as I rev the motor.

When I turn the car off, the level of the coolant in the tank drains out.

Suggestions?

Sounds like the headgasket might be blown.
Is the oil milky looking?
You might also want to do a block test to see if the headgasket is blown.

What do you mean by "Block Test"

I have a compression tester for the cylinders, and the oil is messed up but I didn't have that problem until I pressure washed the front of the engine so I didn't have to work in the goo.

I have a feeling that I have an ancillary issue with the crank seal that is causing my oil leak but that is an issue for another post later on if I have to jump off that bridge.

NO...The engine was cold when i pressure washed it.

And I have a buddy that will be doing the leak down test in a couple days so I guess I will know more then.

No by block test I mean you get a setup from a local Auto parts store like this.

If the fluid changes color from blue to green or yellow the headgasket is blown and exhaust gasses are getting into the cooling system.
