What color should I paint my '95 850 Turbo?
1 Attachment(s)
I have a 1995 850 Turbo that I bought last summer. The paint is starting to wear out and it has some dings and dents that were there when I got it. I want to get all that taken care of.
It only has about 58k miles, so I want to get a quality paint job that will last a long time since my '95 might as well be a new car. It's original color is forest green. It has a tan leather interior. I've been considering pretty much all the classic colors: forest green (repainting in the original color) red black white - my brother has a white S40. His username on here is ShowTek. blue (dark) Attachment 18826 from the day I bought it |
My '95 is paint code 412 the blue-green metallic. It is a gorgeous color (to me anyway). I also have the tan interior, I think it is a nice combination.

Hot Pink.... Just joking... Go matte black... that what im doing on my hood roof and trunk

Go with the same color you have. It will be a lot cheaper than changing the color. If not, go red. Red 850's look awsome.
|
But yellows look better :)

T5R Yellow like tech's haha.
S40 by the way brother. |
I vote multi-colored golf.

Also, I think a dark grey would look awesome! Like the Titanium Grey Metallic available from Volvo.
Ugh....decisions |
What about autumn gold? Don't forget to paint those door jams and etc. if you're going to change the color. It'll look cheesy if it's not. BTW I'm thinking of repainting my car as well sometime a few years from now. Do you know how much that is going to cost?

I would go with the original color. I think it's a mistake to change the original color of a car.

Changing the color would be tough on the pocket if you do it right. I was told around $2,800, and that was at good paint shops that give good prices. You could probably get Macco to do it for $1,800. People smerk at Macco but I had a Honda painted there once and it turned out real good.
Then thing about changing the color is that you'll end up spending more on the paint job than the car is worth. |
