Where can a guy get bulk brake booster hose?
Seriously doesn't anyone know what brake booster hose is anymore? It's bulk hose (9mm ID on 850s) that goes between intake manifold and a connection under the airbox where it continues on to the brake booster. Figure I need a bit less than a meter or so. No, it's not just regular fuel line; it's specially reinforced so it doesn't collapse under vacuum. Back in the day it used to be reinforced w/steel braid within the hose wall.
But I call the local auto parts places and they're like, "WTF is that?" |
Do you have over there any businesses that specialize in mobile hydraulic hose servicing / replacement on trucks etc?
Here in NZ we have an outfit called 'Hose Doctor' as I recall. They travel about repairing mainly long distance rigs and often make up hoses and couplings to suit on site. They might be what you need?? Just an idea. |

Yes gdog.
That is the outfit I was referring to. (Or an alternative similar service) You surely have an outfit operating a similar type of on road truck maintenance service for hydraulics over there in US? All those big rigs that travel long distances, interstate sometimes breakdown on route, and require on site repairs? They would have reels of various grades/sizes of hosing and would fit the required end couplings to suit each need. Could someone like that assist you??? |
