C30 Water Leakage

Hello everyone,

I'm a recent member from Turkey, and I purchased a 2011 Volvo C30 about six months ago. Unfortunately, my car, which doesn't have a sunroof, experienced water leakage during the recent heavy rains here in Turkey. The right rear seat, footrest, and luggage compartment all got wet.

I've attached a photo marking the affected areas. I tried to remove the back seat, but I couldn't figure it out. If anyone has advice on how to disassemble the seat so I can take it home and dry it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Additionally, I'm seeking assistance in identifying where the water might be entering my vehicle and suggestions on how to fix the issue. With the rainy season just beginning, I want to address this problem as soon as possible.

Apologies for any language errors; English is not my native language. Looking forward to your valuable insights and guidance.

Same problem

I had the same problem. If you look at my threads you will see where the leak was and how I rectified it.

Hello, thanks for getting back to me. Could you share how you went about disassembling those parts? Also, did you use silicone to insulate the boot stoppers?

You can use silicone, or a rubber sealent. I can't remember how I took it apart I'm pretty certain they just popped out using plastic tool

I greatly appreciate your assistance! Similar to your experience, the water leak in my vehicle was due to the boot stopper. I insulated it and reattached it, and I'm happy to report that there are no more leaks. Thanks again.
