Hatchback latch clicks but won't open. Shorted the circuit and it opened, how can I f
Hey all. So for the last two years I haven't been able to open the hatch on my 07 T5. Yesterday I stumbled across a youtube video (
Disclaimer: I'm not very smart at all with electrical stuff. Basically, I took the paneling off from the inside, disconnected a couple of the wires (as shown in the video), stuck a paper clip in and the hatch opened! (although I think i shocked myself, even with rubber handled pliers). Once I shut the door again though, it wouldn't. Is the actuator broken? Is there nothing I can do but to replace the ENTIRE switch? It's a $680 part from Volvo parts site https://www.vwvortex.com/Anthony/Smilies/frown.gif The thought that since I shorted the wiring and it opened made me hope that maybe there was another way...but I really don't know. Have any of you had issues with yours? I am grateful for any advice at all. |
