1999 C70 Hardtop, whats this part called? (pictures)
 

Edit: arrgh, I put hard top in the title... I dont know what I was thinking...

Hey everyone, Im new to these forums.

Im having an issue with a C70 convertible top Im trying to fix, the problem is that I dont know what the part is called.

Its the spring like connector arm in the pictures below, its bent and it isnt working properly. Its supposed to unlatch the top from the front end I suppose?


Its right above the rear view mirror.

This is the motor it pllugs into, there are two of these spring arms and they connect to either side o the motor

Im trying to replace that spring arm, but I cant seem to get to it, the convertible top seems impossible to remove while its closed, and I cant find a way to manually pry open the top from the front end so I could try to remove the arm...

So the two issues are, I cant identify that part (spring arm?), and I cant remove it so that I can replace it if I could find the part.

Anyone have any suggestions?
