Default 2000 C70 Vert ISSUES

Hello all! I am new to the C70's and Volvo as a company. I recently bought a 2000 LPT from a private owner with only 25k miles. The car was obviously never driven.....Carfax confirms this. Since I bought the car I have had nothing but problems. Nothing MAJOR but small and EXPENSIVE problems. It seems like about everything I have read on the forum here has happened to me and a little more. I was wondering if it may be because the car sat for a few years and was garaged? Here is a brief:

1 Driver side window regulator: 600.00 + Labor
2 Small light in PRND selector. PITA to fix! 10.00 for bulb and an hour of labor 100.00
3 Rear rotors were warped requiring new rotors and pads. 450.00ish
4 Motor mount was broken (still in garage)
5 Front sway bars needed replacing (still in garage) number 4 and 5 will total around 500.00
6 Leather steering wheel was sticky and never looked good so I attempted to clean it. BIG mistake! Even though I used a quality leather cleaner. The tan wheel started turning black on top and got worse. I called the dealer and was quoted 420.00 for the wheel and 80.00 for labor. SO I ordered a nice wheel skin and sewed it on myself.
7 It sounds like an old pirate ship at low speeds. It CREAKS and make odd rubbing noises that come and go on both driver and passenger sides.Possibly shocks? I am scared to ask. But my friends make fun of me and say it sounds like I am driving a seal from Sea world. So they clap and laugh at low speeds.

I am trapped in a car that I am miserable in and have been getting cabs to work for a few days. All of these issues seem to be common but I can't afford this thing. I also realize this COULD be the tip of the iceberg. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why all of this could be happening with less than 30k miles on the car? My last car was a cheap Hyundai Elantra GT that I NEVER had to do one thing to. And this has me pretty torn up. Can anyone take a stab? Is it a lemon? Should I take a HUGE loss and try to sell it?

You are learning that European autos are costly to repair. Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, Audi............it is all the same! As for the creaking, I have found that if you lubricate the spring seats (front) that will usually quiet things down for awhile. Motorcycle chain lube seems to work the best...........it comes in a spray can and so is easy to apply. Good luck. All said, I truly enjoy my old c70 and plan on keeping it forever. My Japanese autos are trouble free............. strange?

In 05 I boughtmy 2000C70 conv. hpt, it ony had 35000 mi. I thought everything would be smooth, this car is hardly broke in. The first six months were pure hell. An alternater and batt. 24 hrs after I purchased the car, window reg, cv boots, motor mts., O2 sensors, and more. I felt exactly like you, over timeI came to attribute all these things to the fact that the car sat a lot. I have to drive the car daily to work and a year ago we moved and my drive is 94 mi. round trip every day. Now the car is great, it seems all the little bugs have shaken out and it is a pleasure to drive. Lately all I do is routine maint. Hopefully you will get to that point, don't baby that car it wants to be driven.
Good Luck
