2008 roof stuck

I have a 2008 that has just decided to not open or close. I went to open the roof and it went halfway up and just stopped. I checked fuse, unhooked and re attached battery. When I push the button the error message states top malfunction. Needs service.

I can not find anyone to look at it. I can not drive the car. Any suggestions? Please help in Houston.

Probably going to need a dealer. Indy shops want nothing to do with that, as you've found out.

Since you disconnected the battery now the roof is out of sync, there are instructions in the manual how to manually close the roof again (YOU NEED HELP WITH THIS). Have three strong men holding on to the roof and trunklid, under the backseat is a bowden cable to release the hydraulc pressure. When it lets go make sure you hold on to it so you dont get any unneccesary paint damage. Close the roof manually then you have to reset the pressure again directly on the hydraulic pump located in the trunk just behind the rear seat, you need to remove some trim to access it.

Usually if you do nothing and just have the battery unplugged for one hour or so it should maneouver itself again when you plug it in. If not you can go to the emergency procedure. But i warn you DO NOT RELEASE the pressure without help the roof is very heavy. I would recommend going to a dealer if you can atleast get it somewhat closed because there is problably a sensor failure or something. But if not to serious it should always be possible to close the roof unless something is really wrong. Hope this helps you

In order to make a emergency close you need to hold the close roof button for 30 seconds i think it was while its beeping roof failure.
