Air intake part (snorkel?) missing?

Hi everyone,

I recently acquired a 2000 Volvo c70 convertible and noticed that there's a part missing for the air intake. Under the air box filter there's a pipe that looks like it should be connected to something. I looked up some images and a RobertDIY video to notice that there is supposed to be a plastic piece connected there that I think is supposed to connect to the air intake scoop?

Car drives perfectly fine, no misfiring or CEL.

Anyone know what this part is called and where I can buy a new one?

Here's an image I got from Google, what is circled in red is what I am missing:

The part is simply referred to as an air duct. The underhood on that car is the same as an older 850 or early S70. Yours is a non-turbo model, but I believe that those ducts are the same.

What it does is draws intake air from the front of the vehicle rather than superheated air from under the hood. It is the same concept that you saw on early 70s cars where the air cleaner seemed to have a never-ending snorkel and was routed to either the front or side of the engine compartment.

The car will run fine without, but the duct is pretty cheap. I've had a few later models where the duct was missing and you can get them for a song on eBay.

See if this one looks right. You can detach the piece that you don't need.
