Default c70 in the desert

hi - we just got assigned to fort irwin, ca, and since we come from a different climate (south dakota) i was wondering if there is something i should do or get done with our 1999 c70 LPT to kind of adapt it more to the hot and dry weather here?
we have 95000 miles on it and it runs great, on the trip from sd to ca (1650 miles) we got almost unbelievable 30 mpg. i double checked a few times, but that is what it was :-)
thanks
fritz

I drive a 960, but I go back and forth between similar climates. Make sure radiator fluid is at the proper level, and maybe change your oil to something a bit thicker. I live in Montana in the winter and use a 5-30. When I am in Southern California in the summer I use a 10-40. This seems to work fine. My car has 155,000 on the clock, and I've made the drive between the two states about 6 times with no problems at all.
