frequent headlight problem on a 98
 

my C70 is having some problems with her headlight. most times it's dim and there were ocassions that it wouldn't function even with the switch on. do C70's experience this trouble specific to the year 98? just asking coz a friend had same issues.

and is 40 a good price for a chrome grille? i got an offer from Parts Train, and it's been offered on sale.

Do you know if the headlight switch has ever been replaced?
If not check with the dealer for open recall on the car.The headlight switch might be under recall.

thanks for your response. well it's something about the grounding issues. but got it all taken care of. the mechanic said so.

i had to bring this up since since it's also a lighting issue. here goes, my understanding about flaring lights is that it's normal during acceleration. is that right? just slipped into my mind if ever we got some flaring troubles on our volvo's.

I am assuming you mean they get brighter when accelerating?

They will do it sometimes. Other time is means a weak alternator.
