Default Headlight Lense Questions

So I have a crack in my left side headlight on my 98 C70 and I am looking to get it replaced. Here is my question, I found E-codes on ebay from FCP that are just the lenses. But is it possible to get the "Jewel" Lenses by itself and not replace the entire assembly? I love the look of the clear lense and would prefer that but I would rather not pay close to 500 for them from Viva. So in theory would the jewel lenses be a direct fit onto my 98 housings?

Reality is they would fit, but the light output would be HORRENDOUS. The reflector is completely different for the jewel style light so you need to replace the complete headlamp assembly for the look. Keep a watchful eye on ebay and other sites for these, you can normally get a good deal, but expect to get them one at a time. Corner lamps are available from the dealer for under 40$ normally so do not bother to hunt them down.

1. Yes they will fit.

2. Like the previous poster said the light output is going to be off and you will BLIND people badly. The Jewel headlights are completely different and thusly you will need the entire headlight assembly (Housings and lenses). Expensive yes.

3. If the turn signals for the jewels are anything like the regular old 70 series turn signals your looking at $50 a pop for them. $100 total.
