Default New to me 2011 C70 looking for input

Hello everyone, I just got a 2011 C70, my 1st convertible and my second Volvo. I owned a wore out 99 S70 for a little while. So far I can tell it needs brake rotors turned and possibly an alignment. Are warped brake rotors common? It pulls right when accelerating is torque steer big with these cars? It drives pretty straight otherwise. I know I am coming up on a timing belt as it has 108k miles on it...book says change at120k miles. Any suggestions on getting this done, I probably won't do it myself. Any other words of wisdom welcome.

The C70 shares the chassis with other Volvo models and those cars are not known for torque steer. Sounds like your car may need to get its suspension inpected for wear (ie control arm bushings, motor mounts etc), issues with the axles, brakes or wheel bearings and then get an alignment done (driving straight doesn't mean the alignment is correct).

No, its not common for brake rotors to warp. Usually that's a sign of incorrect pad installation, improper bedding of new pads or issues with a caliper. Volvos pretty much use parts common to other Euro cars - I also note that if you feel a studder don't always assume its the front rotors. You may need to do some further investigation. These days its rare for somebody to turn the rotors - its just faster/cheaper to install new parts.

You are correct, the timing belt interval for the I5s is 10 years/120K miles - whichever comes first. You'd want to replace the timing belt, idler and tensioner. Probably a good idea to do the serpentine belts (since they need to come off anyway) and have your shop inspect the belt idlers/tensioner, particularly if you hear any pulley noises at idle.
