trunk lid

I have a 03 convert. ALWAYS check to make sure the trunk is CLOSED before washing or in bad weather. If you pop the trunk it dose not look open because it really dose not open very high. Also rise the conv. 1/2 way and look to see if the are any holes or loose seals where the conv. stores when down. From most reports I have read here about water in the trunk it was because the trunk lid was not closed. There are rubber plugs in the bottom of the trunk under the carpet that can be remove to let water drain out, crawl under the trunk with a flashlight and look. Or at night / dark garage , remove the carpet, put a work light in the trunk, close the lid and see if there is any light under the car. This will also work for bad trunk lid seal and the area around the convert. top storage. Remove the spare tire and everything attached to the trunk floor.
Some people that have a remote for locking/unlocking their cars have reported pushing the trunk button by mistake and not evening know the trunk was open.

Cb any questions ?
