Oil Warning Light

2011 C70. After starting car, no oil warning light. After some driving, oil warning light blinks. After a little more time, warning light stays on. Oil level is normal. Any suggestions for easy fix before I bring it in? Anyone had this happen before, any ideas on the cause?
Thank you

I forgot to mention that I have no engine codes.

I would suspect a partially clogged oil pick up tube due to sludge in the oil pan. Remove the pan, clean the sludge and new oil pickup tube solves it. Maybe replace the pcv system also if the drainage passage is clogged in the pan also. This can be caused simply by following Volvo's oil change schedule (what - 7500 miles for that year), using regular motor oil, and maybe forgetting to bringing it in on time every once in a while.

If the oil light is on or flashing I would suggest not driving the car until you find the cause. It could simply be a bad oil pressure sending unit - But I've never seen one on a aluminum block car. (1991+)

No codes will be stored due to low oil pressure - The OBD system only cares about you polluting, and low oil pressure does not create pollution. (well it does when the engine self destructs and throw a rod!)

I agree that the oil supply system may be contaminated. Also, the problem may be in a low-quality oil filter, for example, like mine, I had to look for Best Fuel Filter for Duramax Diesel on this site https://southwestexpresslube.com/fue...uramax-diesel/ , I use these filters on my truck, dodge and ford.
