Default Power steering hose

I'm have a question regarding a power steering hose for my 2001 C70, 2.3L---the hose slipped out of its holder and was abraided by the pully, creating a hole that now shoots out fluid. I obviously need to replace the hose, but can anyone give me any information as to exactly which hose (high pressure?? low pressure--there is surprisingly little info out there in regards to this) needs to be replaced so I can do some research online and not get raped by the dealer?? The hose that was abraided is the larger of the two, that runs from the reservoir to the pump beside the engine block. (Not the thin, long hose that runs down behind the engine block).
Thanks for any help--I'm a new Volvo owner and have yet to find a good local mechanic that I trust--so it's the dealer when I have problems!

It is a return/low pressure hose.

You can buy your self and install in about 10 minutes. If you do it buy new universal clamps.

Thanks a bunch for the info---I can't find anything online regarding the price/availability of the return hose. All parts list the 'pressure' hose at around $200. Why don't mechanics work on Sunday???

They need atleast one day off a week.

I think it is pretty cheap even from the dealer.

You have to understand that a Volvo, indeed, any European auto utilizes expensive original parts. If you can't afford them, then you can't afford the Volvo! On the other hand there is a plethora of repair work that you can perform on your Volvo by yourself, however do not be put off by the costly Volvo 'parts'. The original parts generally are worth the extra money spent to purchase them. By the Volvo parts and replace them yourself and Voila............you have saved dollars!

p.s. For Black Beauty...............'Euros".

We almost have the same situation, got the power steering pump screaming and we know what air it is the power steering that sounds like. I was thinking of installing all sorts of killer steering setups, from a stock conersion to hydro assist, up to fully-hydro balanced ram systems. Probably you need a low pressure hose.
