I have a 2000 C70 convert. Engine light comes on then after about 10 minutes of driving, the odometer shows nothing but _ _ _ _ _ and the speedometer goes to 0. If I'm at a stop sign, the car feels like it's in 3rd gear when taking off. Then 10 seconds later, everything is working perfectly. My mechanic thinks it's the speedometer sensor. This is an intermitant problem. Also, when this happens, the arrow up light, the abs, the brake light all come on at once. I say it's a short. Anyone have a suggestion? It happens almost everytime we drive it. Then it runs perfect!

ABS light on?
I will almost bed a bad ABS module.

Itis your ABS module for sure. I had the same exact problems, cost me $1500 to replace, parts and labor, that's forABS module and some other things that they did, but it was like $800 for parts/labor on the ABS module alone! Tranny went out soon after that and that cost me $5000. I have 100k miles on my 2001 C70. Bought it almost two years ago with 75k miles. I love this car but I'm never buying another Volvo.
