Vanity mirror light bulb replaement
 

I have a 2004 C70.
This one has a light above the wind visors that I ASSUME should be coming on when the windvisor is down, or the sliding cover over the mirrors to turn on the lights.
The owners manual says the lights are in the mirror/visor, but they are not. It does show the lights over the visor in the vanity mirror section, but not in the bulb replacement section
neither of the lights work.
Any ideas?

It is more likely that the wires have separated at the joint closest to the rearview mirror. Take the mirrors off and inspect.

Is that where they get power?
I think the lights are on either side of the rear view, and above the visors. They are hidden until the visors are down. And I think they are switched from the slide cover on the vanity mirrors, and when the visor is pushed up.
NOT that it can't happen, but it would be odd to see both sides pulled loose at the same time.
The quickest way would be to pull the lens cover off the lights and check to see if the bulbs are burned out, and what size they are. Then start troubleshooting back from there if the bulbs are good.
I will do that this week. There is no mention what bulb # they are, so maybe pulling one would let me see that.
I just got a repair DVD set for the car, so I haven't looked at that yet. Just at the timing belt stuff. Looks fairly easy, so will be doing that in the spring.

I am replacing the serpentine belt and tensioner next week. It looks a little worn. Timing belt doesn't look bad, so hopefully, it will last another 2-3K.
