Hello, I'm a new member to this Forum, and soon a new owner of a XC40 Recharge Pure Electric.
My question is: What home charger is best for the XC40?
My power company suggests either a "Charge Point Home Flex EV Charger" or "Juice Box 40 EV Charger".
Both are level 2 chargers.
Any help is appreciated.

I have the Juice Box 40 Charger. I like it but it does not keep connectivity to the internet and re-connecting it is a several-step pain. I bought and installed it so that I could schedule charging times and then discovered that I couls schedule charging through the car....My charger is over 1 year old so they may have improved the wifi stability since then.
I like the cable and the box but in reality I did not need it- I could have just plugged the car into my 240v outlet.

Hello. I am looking to get a level 2 charger installed outside for the XC60. My concern is regarding how flexible the cable is in the coldest months of winter where the temperature is -20 to -30 c . Is there anybody who has a charger and can share opinion based on low temperature performance? Thanks!

 

I bought a ChargePoint thru Amazon. Best with a 70-80 amp breaker. Charges up to 30 mph.

 

What year and model is your Volvo? My Honda Clarity could schedule charging times, but my Volvo still doesn't though I understand it is available in European models. I was told by Volvo Corp.; it would arrive as an OTA update but I'm thinking that might have been just some hot air.

 

My XC40 Twin EV charging times can be set with my Volvo car app. My ChargePoint Home Flex Charger will also charge on a pre-set schedule.
