14 gallon tank

why are there 2 dirrerent size tank on the 2007 s 40

Not 100% sure but it could by if the car is AWD or not.

All i know is that the AWD 2008 s40 t5 has a slightly larger tank capacity than the 2.4 and T5 FWD cuz it eats more gas prolly...seems reasonable.

the manual says that if you have a 39 on the 6 and 7th number of your vin# it has a smaller tank and not able to tow anything. is that the only difference or can the engine be smaller it says i have a 2,4
