2001 s40 code P0015 and skipping
I got a 2001 S40 and im getting code P0015 and P 0302 and its skipping under load. At idle its fine. I have checked the cvvt valve and when it starts to skip the cvvt valve dosent seem to open, when I jump it and run 12 volts to it it opens and smooths out. Has anyone else have this problem. I know I need to do an engine oil flush and drop the oil pan. also I checked the coil for contiunity and I have contiunty when its unplugged.

Oil flush may work but so far I haven't heard any success stories. Let us know if it works for you. And why are you going to drop the oil pan? Nothing about a flush would require you to drop the pan. Just drain it, add fresh oil and filter.
If it were me, I'd fix the solenoid first, then deal with the miss. The car shouldn't miss due to the CVVT. The whole reason for the CVVT is to have both low rpm and high rpm power due to shifting the cam advance. The malfunctioning CVVT solenoid may just have exposed a weak coil or bad plug or wire but not actually caused it. My guess.

Key off, no continuity between Pin 1 (left) and Pin 2 (right). Pin 1 is power supply. Pin 2 is ECM signal cable to Pin 62 on the ECM.
VIDA says: "Try a new camshaft reset valve if no fault is found during the above fault-tracing."
There are 16 actual camshaft reset valve trouble codes specific to this Volvo. You need Volvo specific hardware and software to see whats up. This is why people just end up replacing the solenoid as testing is more expensive.

You probably have two issues. Did your P0015 code return? If not, and you still have a miss, then I think you had two separate issues. With the solenoid fixed I'd give it a tune up. 4 Plugs, 2 coils, 2 wires.
The fuel injectors are very robust. Please don't replace one without testing. They can be removed and bench cleaned if you are determined it's an injector. Most of the time a miss is ignition related. Usually a bad coil.

Replace it all. 4 Plugs, both coils, both wires. When dealing with a miss under load I did the same thing you did. Ohmmed the coils, checked the wires, replaced all the plugs. Still had a miss. Then I replaced one coil and started moving the other around. When that did not work I swapped coils again and still had a miss. Totally frustrated I bought a 2nd new coil and new plug wires and my miss went away. I hate throwing money at a problem so this was very annoying. I found that Autozone had coils for a reasonable price, like $44 last time I replaced them. You can find a wire set online for less than local IIRC.
