2002 s40 tires

I am new to the post as I just purchased a 2002 s40. I am looking for some suggestions regarding tires for my car. Stock size is 195/60/15. I would like to put a little more tire on the road with my stock rims. I do live in the snowbelt and would rather not change tires in the winter, but would also like a somewhat "performance" tire that would last a little while. There are a lot to choose from, and the more I look the more confused I get!

Thanks,

Good Point...

Guess I should just get a set for summer and one for winter.:D

Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. They are pricey but I highly recommend them. I had them on my '02 S40 and my "05 V50 T5. Excellent all season and all round tire.

Another suggestion is the BF Goodrich Traction T/A as a cheaper alternative.

Any other advice for performance, since you owned one?

Thanks

For suspension mods: OEM or other strut tower brace, Koni Yellow shocks/struts (work very nice with stock springs).
