New battery car wont start. I let my girlfriend drive my car down the road yesterday and she "locked" my car. She pressed lock on the fob and didn't depress it to set the alarm. We got in my car to go to the store and it didn't turn on. It wanted to but didn't. After reading threads and trying to unlock my car and lock it from the fob repeatedly while in the car it finally turns on no problem! Thank you threads! I guess the alarm is set only by depressing the lock button until it locks all doors and flashes lights to set alarm? Anyways it runs now 😄👍

 

Never heard of being able to lock the car with the keyfob without it setting the alarm. Doesn't sound like the problem is what your GF did... sounds more likely that your car just forgot about your key - sometimes repeatedly locking and unlocking the door with the fob will fix that (not entirely sure that is true with Volvos, but believe it is).
