2007 S40 2.4i
 

Hi. I'm new to the forum and am about to purchase a 2007 S40i. This is my first real car purchase and want to know the pros and cons of this vehicle.
Please help me decide!

I have a 2006 s40 T5 and I love it. It's my second car and it's a huge improvement from my previous car: a Neon (gasp!). Obviously, there are slight differences between a T5 and a 2.4i, but here are some things to keep in mind. (Please note that I'm no car expert, and talking from a layman's point of view.)

Pros:
[ul][*]Great unique-looking car[*]Top quality engine/exterior/interior[*]Good leg room in the front and decent leg room in the back[*]Very safe car with a lot of safety features[*]And has a lot of little things that I love (too many to note)[*]T5 has plenty of pep and power, so 2.4i shouldn't be too bad either[*]I got the sport suspension package so the ride is very smooth, even when taking sharp turns or going over bumps

However, here are the cons (these are minor things in comparison to the pros, and compared to other makes!):

[ul][*]Terrain of the road sometimes dictates the steering (for example: if the road "tilts" to the left, there isn't enough resistance in the steering in relation to the tires, so the steering wheel will slightly move to the left by itself. You'll sometimes have to have a firm grip on the steering wheel)[*]Side mirrors are kinda small[*]Visibility is "average" in the rear and sides (so you'll have to always shoulder check when you change lanes and/or push your side mirrors out further than "normal")[*]Gas pedal and brake pedal are a little closer than I'd like (I'm a man with size 10 feet and when I wear my wider dress shoes, I'll actually touch both sometimes during transitions)
