Default 30K Service

Hi all,

My wife has a 2002 S40 and it is due for it's 30k mile service. Has anyone done this themselves? What does it require? Is this something that I can do myself?

Any information/ tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If you are pretty handy with tools you can do it your self.
The 30k service is as follows: Oil change,Tire rotation,Fuel filter,Spark plugs,Coolant replacement,Air filter replacement,Pollen filter replacement,Check brakes, and all other fluids,Bleed the brakes with new fluid,Reset service light,And check for engine faults(If the check engine light is not on you are fine)
I think that is about all.

It is pretty easy and should take you a couple of hours.

30,000 Mile Tune Up as recommended by Volvo:

Replace or Adjust:
Oil Filter and Oil Change
Clean and Test Battery (check for any sort of white buildup on the terminals)
Coolant Flush (remember 50/50!)
Rotate and Balance Tires, adjust pressure (The PSI will be marked on the inside of the gas tank lid.)
Automatic Transmission Fluid Replacement
Polen filter change (you will find it under the passenger side dashboard, under the glove compartment.)
Adjust E-Brake if needed
Replace Air Intake Filter
Change sparkplugs (CAUTION: USE VOLVO PLUGS ONLY, TRUST ME)
Brake Fluid flush and replacement.

Check:
External Lighting Check
Washer fluid.
Clean and Lube the Power Antenna
Check Brake Pad wear (when was your last brake job? These cars tend to eat up pads)
Check Brake lines
Check the powersteering fluid level and adjust.
Suspension check
Driveshaft check

I think that's it. Post up any questions.
Also! Keep all your receipts for your records! just in case something goes wrong, you want to be able to show the work you've done.

It's $690 dollars at my stealership [>:]
