I am in the process of purchasing an 04 T5 and am wondering about an aftermarket deck installation.

The factory deck has the plastic wood grain insert that surrounds the deck and also around the shifter (auto trans :/) and I don't know how an aftermarket deck would fit into there.

Anybody able to help me out?

The reasoning for an aftermarket deck is I have subs, 2 amps, and speakers that I plan on swapping in.
