Anyone tried using Actron Uscan with their x40?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience using this bluetooth dongle paired up with an iPhone? I'm wondering how well it works with our Volvo? Can anyone confirm that it will give you live data? It also claims to be able to provide Volvo-specific error code info...I will believe that when I see it.

I haven't, but I have used the GoPoint BT1. Their in house apps can can check a few things and read some live data. I use it with the DashCommand app. I would assume that this also can be used with the DashCommand app. The amazon price is much better than the GoPoint. The amazon reviews look like they are all over the place. Specifically with the abs reading.

I have used Torque with a bluetooth OBDII dongle as well as DiCE / VIDA :

The OBD2 data is a tiny subset of the available data in the car. As a "backup," the OBD2 data is helpful, but on a different planet as far as utility in figuring out the car.

Thanks, guys. Doesnt really sound like it is a gadget worth adding to the volvo maintenance arsenal....

Save your pennies for a DiCE / VIDA. My Haynes manual was not really needed, but the VIDA was.
