BATTERY
I HAVE THE S40 2003 AND I AM ABOUT TO CHANGE THE BATTERY. THE REPAIR CENTER I'M GOING TOLD ME THAT ONLY A VOLVO BATTERY SHOULD BE BOUGHT BECAUSE THE CAR NEEDS CERTAIN VOLTAGE (FOR THE AIRBAGS FOR EXAMPLE AND IF THE VOLTAGE IS NOT PRECISE THE A/B LIGHT WILL TURN ON) IF ANYTHING ELSE IS USED THERE MAY BE PROBLEM IN THE ELECTRICAL OF THE CAR.
I NEED YOUR OPINION. I THINK THEY TRY TO SELL ME THEIR OWN BATTERIES. THANKS A LOT. JOHN GREECE |
RE: BATTERY
you don't need to stick with the oem volvo battery, that is a lie...i know plenty of guys using the optima red tops...these are very popular, but are a bit more money than most batteries...

thank you.

RE: BATTERY
That excuse for recommending a Volvo battery is ludicrous. I'd find another shop. A battery is a battery - it's not some complicated electronic device.
I've been running a Costco/Kirkland battery for a few years with no problems. |
