I have been told that my volvo S40 1.8 (2008)
Has a problem with the Body Control Module.
No error message showed up.
Can it be reset, or will it have to be renewed or?

what is going on that makes you think you have a BCM issue? I'd suggest you have a shop equipped with VIDA/DICE to run a full diagnostics - not all proprietary codes can be viewed by generic OBD2 code readers. I'd also ask a dealer if the unit requires programming (ie pairing to the ECU etc) or can a replacment be dropped in. You may want to research shops that rebuild electronic units to see if they can offer an opinion on the replace/repair.

Here is a picture of all the modules that could be in your car. The BCM is the brake control module, for the antilock brake system. What does your source think your "Body Control Module" is? Possibly the CEM, the central electric module?

As mentioned the first step would be a scan with a compatible scanner that can talk to all the control units. What problems are you having? (with your car)

I had an auto electrician out to the car this morning, he went over the car, hooked it upto his laptop,
Said, he is convinced it is a fuel issue, pump or whatever, as its only error showing,
All electrics not showing errors, just fuel.
He not sure where fuel pump is on this model, may have 2 pumps he Said.
(2008, 1.8 S40)
But was adamant it was a fuel issue.
So, no idea what I should do next.

I have been told 2 different things.
1. Body control module.

2. Fuel issue.

Driving my car S40 1.8, 2008, it went dead,
I took out key, it turned over, for 5 secs at most, then went dead.
I Got it towed to a garage, who told me it may bd, the body control module.
Another garage told me, the only issue showing was a fuse l issue. The vehicle not getting fuel through.
Either or fuel pump, or issue of that nature.
I been 8 days without the car as garages are so busy.
I no idea exactly what it is, or cost to get it back on the road.
Not sure if fuel pump in or close to fuel tank. Of if vehicle has 2 pumps.
Any advice or knowledge???
Thanks
