Can you completely disable the security on a 2000 V40?

I am considering the purchase of 2000 V40. The car runs great but sometimes the car will not turn over to crank. We think the microprocessor in the key is bad or something is up with the ignition disabler. If you wait several hours, the same key cranks the car right up.
I would like to have a mechanic completely disable the security system and/or the ignition disabler. Is this possible?

Not that I know of.

Check bad battery or immobilizer antenna ring.

We don't think the battery is the issue, wish it was. I am betting on an issue with the antenna ring or key. It sure would be nice to disable the entire security system.

I had similar issue with a Toyota but we were able to totally disconnect the security system.

Sometimes low-tech is the best way.

You're not going to find anything low tech on cars nowadays! Everything is computer controlled.

We changed out Neutral Safety Switch and pray that is it since the computer showed no immobilizer codes and battery was working well.
