Default Car does not "start" on the 1st time..

Reading this forum I do understand that I may have a fuel pressure regulator problem.. My car ( independent if it is hot or cold) takes at least 2 or 3 times ( time = turning the key to make the starter run) to start.. After it starts there are no problems at all.. the simptons are like there is no gasoline on the lines to make the car start....

any ideias of what is wrong or how I can pinpoint the problem ?

best Regards,

If you pull the vacuum hose off of the fuel pressure regulator and check for gas you can tell if it is good or bad.

Hi Tech,
today I took the car into the Mechanic and ran it into the mechanic. there was an error 145, he cleaned the error and no more errors appeared. Also he pulled thevacuum hose from the Fuel Pressure regulator and there was vacuum there so I assume there was vacuum there so we discarded it..

What else can I check ?The funny thing is that it onlyhappensin the 1st time of the day I start the car or If I leave it coolfor hours.. Otherwise it is fine...

Any help is appreciated..

The hose is supposed to be pulled off and checked for gas leaking out of it after the car sits for a little while.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but... Is gas leaking from it a good sign or bad sign ?

Bad sign that would mean it is bad. There is a diaphram inside. The gas is supposed to be on the side only with the fuel line and port to the fuel rail.
Then there is the other side that is supposed to only be vaccum. The diaphram gets a pinhole and gas leaks through.
