Car stalling

Hi everyone,
after driving my 2002 V40 (135k) on the highway for an hour or two, the car would stall once I would exit and come to a complete stop. The lights on the dashboard would light up like a Christmas tree and just shut down. It would start up right away. Had the car tuned up but it continued to stall once again. Could this be an O2 sensor issue? Would really appreciate your input.

I moved your thread from the Forum Issues board (that board for issues with the forum, not your car )to the S40 board since there are more S40 readers.

Regarding stalling, do you have a check engine light on or have you scanned for any fault codes? There are several possible causes - issues with low fuel pressure, dirty throttle body/idle valve/MAF, intake air leaks etc. I would not immediately suspect the O2 sensor as they tend to fail with a fault code. If you have access to an OBD2 reader with real time data capture, you may want to see if you can monitor and catch what is going on when going from driving at speed then coming to a stop. Any other symptoms like surging or lower than normal fuel mileage etc? Does this happen on warm days only (including when the AC is kicking on full)?
