'04 S40 continuing issues
PLEASE HELP!!!!
In the last week or so I have done some much needed maintenance on my '04 S40 (old body style, 1.9l engine). Struts and wheel bearings were no big issue but the P0015 engine code has still got me stumped.
I have tried every suggestion I found here to remedy the check engine light to no avail. 2 runs of the Sea Foam treatment, disconnect the battery terminals and tie them together overnight, remove and clean the camshaft reset valve, but the light keeps coming back.
It seems that no one feels that this code pertains to the cam shaft position sensor but is it possible that this really is the problem? If I change the cam shaft reset valve, is that a better starting point than the sensor? Seeing as these parts are quite expensive I would rather buy them with some confidence than just start throwing parts at it hoping something works.
If anyone could give me some direction on how to proceed it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!
