Climate control fan has gone crazy
 

Hey guys, I have an '01 S40 with an HVAC fan that has gone crazy. It operates perfectly in the Automatic setting, however in manual mode, the fan surges almost constantly from fast to slow, fast to medium to slow.....Obviously its not a DIY fix, but any ideas as to the problem out there?

Greetings.

May be the resistor/electroniccontrol problem. Also check for pollen filter for cleanliness. Or, have the codes pulled & reset at a Volvo dealer (ask them to see how much they want just for the diagnosis).

I'm not privy to S40, so wait till someone in this forum replies or until Tech comes back.

Sorry could not narrow down the problem.
