Dash Swap?
 

I've been looking at cars almost every day for over a year, and it seems like almost every week I find something else that I decide I want to settle on. Everything from Civic's to Landcruisers. Well this week its an '05-'06 Volvo S40 T5; and hopefully (I have a feeling) I can stick with this one ;).

Anyways, an AUX jack is important to me for listening to Slacker Radio on my phone and as I've read, its pretty much impossible on the newer S40's :(.

However, it seems like I read that a factory AUX plug was available as an option in 2007 for the S40. This got my mind turning and I was wondering if anyone had tried swapping the dash from an '07 into an '05-06, or if its possible? If it is, this would certainly brighten my day.

I have never heard of anyone doing that haha, i thought iPD made a unit for it but most likely i am wrong. If you do choose the s40 know that you got a community here.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to get an aux output if you have the premium stereo, but I figured why not have a stock aux output if possible :cool:

I'm really torn between the S40 T5 and a Saab 9-3 right now :confused:. I guess I mainly just need to test drive both and decide then. The only problem is its almost impossible to find a S40 T5 in my area, everyone seems to be selling the 2.4i though...

How many miles on the 9-3? they have terrible problems with engine mounts and Turbo's blowing.
