Dashboard Temperature Meter Not Rise To The Middle
 

Volvo s40 2007 2.4
Last year auto lost coolant and oil, and my car warmed. the engine seals and canister coolant changed . Now he lost oil and coolant again and he changed oil cooler and oil pump seals. But once fixed, the temperature meter on the Dashboard does not rise to the middle, it takes about 10min to rise when it was almost instantaneous before.

Can only be a bad thermostat, or a bad temperature sending unit (doubtful since they will almost never fail in a "slow to warm up way").
