Default fog lights

I noticed a fog light button on the dash, but no fog lights mounted on the car -ever. It still has the factory blanks in place. Does the wiring harness run down to the bumper already so all I have to do is get me a pair and plug them in or is there going to be more involved? If I push the button, the fog light symbol lights up on the cluster.

Here's a pic. Looks like the top black connector is for the side marker light and I think the bottom grey plug is an impact sensor. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Otherwise I ain't got any other wires.

First of all, below the headlight switch there are two buttons if you have front fog lights. The one on the left is the front fog lights, the one on the left is the rear fog light. Everybody has the rear fog light, which is operated by the button on the right. If you do not have front fog lights, there will be a blank on the left. The rear forg light is just one tail light that lights brighter when you push that button so people coming up on you can see your car better. Kinda pointless, i never really use mine.

Second, adding the fog lights is not as easy as buying some and hooking them up. You also have to replace the light switch panel with the one for fog lights, which i believe is around $90. And once you have everything wired up you have to make a trip down to you faavorite volvo dealer or independent shop and they have to program the lights into the computer with VADIS or the whole thing wont work.

I figured out my confusion, the book that the dealer threw into the car when I bought it is for an '02. It's explanation is left is for the rear and right is for the front. This means i have to be very careful when I get the switch. I am going to have to have part of the car reprogrammed anyway because I only received one key and a broken alarm fob.
