Help! 2004 s40 going crazy!!

Ok guys, I have a 2004 s40 t5. The wife was driving and all of a sudden the power steering stopped working, then it wouldn't pull anymore. Died and wouldn't start back. Battery acted like it was dead. Jumped it off and got it running but transmission still wouldn't pull and it started throwing all kinds of messages on the dash. The messages were power system service urgent, power steering service required, transmission service required, anti-skid temporarily off, and immobilizer see manual. Can anyone help. I do know that my negative battery cable and battery to body ground wire are both corroded pretty good. Could this be my problem?

Yes, that could be your problem. Your charging / battery system won't work better than the worst connection.

And 99% of the time when you get a host of seemingly unrelated errors popping up like that, it's because your battery voltage has dropped so low that the computers that control and monitor all those systems are losing their minds.

Take some voltage measurements. You should have essentially zero volts from the negative battery terminal itself to the engine block, and you should have 14+ volts across the battery with the engine running.
