help needed
 

I have a 51 plate s40 1.9 diesel. Every so often when i am travelling on motorways at around 70 the engine cuts out and to restart it i have to manually pump some fuel using the pump then it starts up again no bother, can anyone shed any light on what could be causing this thanks
