Hi everyone. I hope you are having a great weekend. 😊
I have a question. I am always getting that message on my dash.
The thing is,,,is that I have the battery in the key OFTEN but it still happens.
The key also will NOT work remotely. I must take it out and BANG on the key a few times until the car finally responds to it.
It's driving me nuts
I have read many forums about the low key battery voltage message. ,,,but it always involves replacing the battery in the KEY,,,
I don't understand,,is thee a fuse or something that makes the car "see" the key???
Any help would be so kind. 😊
Thanks for your time

what model and year do you have? If you have replaced the battery in the fob and it works for a bit then fails, I'd think you have poor contacts to the battery or the fob has crack which opens circuit from time to time (replacing fobs are not cheap since they typically need to be coded by the dealer or a shop with the right tool)
